devlog week 6 - ui and polish


This week I worked on finalizing all the menu screens, victor/defeat screens, and adding flavourful text to each (not screenshotting this so it's a suprise). The game is now fully loopable, allowing the player to go back to main menu when they win or lose, and to continue to the next level if they win the current level.

With ui and effects more or less completed as part of a response to testing feedback, the next step was to add more content. I added 5 levels of increasing difficulty, made the player retain hp but get a small heal at the start of each level, and added more cards.

Thanks to my prior work building a framework for adding cards and enemies, creating more types was quick and painless, only requiring more art and time spent thinking about design.
